Sundance Jump Band with Burr Guthrie
Burr Guthrie - Vocals & Guitars, Bass, Percussion'Beyond The Zen Rodeo' was released by W. Dire Wolff with Sundance Jump in 2017; Burr Guthrie's guitar, brought the familar psychedelic folk rock to the album's sound.
'Marin County Rain' by the Sundance Jump Space Band (2018) is space music that features Burr Guthrie's improvised bass and percussion effects and musical ideas. Guthrie composed some of the instrutmental themes. The album is an experimental musical concept, based on recording rainfall in the Marin County redwood forest. Burr plays the acoustic guitar on songs like his arrangement of "John Barleycorn". It is organic improvised music played on simple electronic instruments with lots of pedals and effects.
The first Sundance Jump album by W. Dire Wolff Band (2015), features the lead guitar playing of Burr Guthrie. It is Guthrie's Guitar tones that created Sundance Jump's "Northern California Jam Band" sound; or also called "psychedelic folk rock".
